The process of creating a watercolor painting involves several essential steps that contribute to the final artwork. It begins with extensive preparation, where I review a collection of photographs and sketches to inform my detailed drawing. This groundwork allows me to carefully select and refine elements that enhance the overall design and emotional impact of the piece. The painting phase is where creativity truly flourishes; by using washes and glazes, I collaborate with the watercolor paper to develop intricate textures. This detailed approach enables me to emphasize the beauty of materials like wood and glass, as well as the interplay of light and shadow, resulting in a composition that harmoniously blends realism with a unique artistic expression.
